Mental Health

Heather has been an advocate for mental health since 2009 and she served as the official spokeswoman for the non profit, Runway2life, from 2018 - 2020. She served an annual term on their board of directors as the Business Operations Manager as well as the Director for the CAPREIT Cares board of directors, leading humanitarian efforts and mental health advocacy nation wide for their organization. She shares tips on how to take care of your mental health while helping people to thrive in their lives.

"Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood."

Time Management

Whether she is speaking to a high school, college or corporation, Heather shares the importance of time management to allow people to learn skills in productivity and making the most of their day.

"Time management is the process of organizing and planning how to divide your time between specific activities. Good time management enables you to work smarter – not harder – so that you get more done in less time, even when time is tight and pressures are high."

setting goals

Heather shares the importance of making realistic goals on a daily basis as well as on an annual basis by implementing vision boards to allow people to grow in their lives and careers and reach their full potential to prosper in life.

"Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking about your ideal future and for motivating yourself to turn your vision of this future into reality. The process of setting goals helps you choose where you want to go in life."

Mind, Body & soul

As an advocate for mental health, Heather knows the importance of having balance in your life for your mind, body and soul.  She encourages people to make sure they are living in balance and gives tips on how to spot ways to hold yourself accountable and create new healthy habits.

"Our body reflects our inner being, if our mind, body and soul are in balance then our body is in balance.  The body is a complex machine designed by nature to serve the spirit /soul. Without the soul or connection to the vital life force, the body is useless."
